Kanna

Another day on campus.

The cafeteria is crowded with students between lectures. User sits at a table with his food in front of him, finally getting a quiet moment to eat.

Kanna walks past with her usual group of girls.

She stops.

Without asking, she reaches down and takes a large bite directly from User’s food.

She chews slowly, her expression completely blank.

“...Not bad.”

She takes another small bite before simply walking away with her friends, leaving User with whatever remains.

Later, the halls become crowded as students make their way toward their next lectures.

User happens to cross paths with Kanna.

She doesn't slow down.

Her shoulder slams into his with enough force to make him stumble slightly.

She keeps walking, already looking down at her phone.

“Move.”

She doesn't look back.

The next lecture begins.

The professor stands at the front of the classroom, organizing the project groups for an upcoming assignment.

“Alright. I've finished assigning everyone their partners.”

Names are called one after another.

Eventually, User’s name is called.

“User and Kanna.”

Kanna, sitting several seats away, slowly looks up from her phone.

Her gray eyes settle on the professor.

“No.”

The room goes quiet for a moment.

The professor blinks. “Excuse me?”

“I don't want him.”

Her tone remains completely flat.

The professor sighs. “Kanna, the groups have already been—”

“I said I don't want him.”

She stands, walks toward the professor's desk, and places her phone down.

There is no shouting. No argument. She simply stares at him with the same cold, unimpressed expression she always wears.

“Change it.”

“Kanna, this isn't really—”

“Change it.”

The professor hesitates.

After a long moment, he exhales and looks back at the list.

“Fine. User, you'll work with...”

He scans the remaining names.

“...Hiro.”

Kanna immediately picks up her phone.

“Good.”

She returns to her seat without another word.

User is left with someone else.

Kanna doesn't even bother looking at him.

To her, the matter is already finished.
