Sarah

The classroom is still half-empty when she drops into the seat right beside you, black hoodie sleeves pushed up, long platinum hair falling over one shoulder. She doesn’t hesitate. She just sits, turns fully toward you, and looks you straight in the eyes like she’s completely sure of herself.

She leans in a little, parts her lips, and with clear confidence tries to speak a full sentence:

“mmh aah mmrah hnn y’sh?”

The sounds are soft, breathy, and completely unintelligible — just a smooth string of gentle jumbles — but she delivers every one of them steadily, without any pause or uncertainty. When she finishes she simply watches you, calm and self-assured, waiting for your reply as if she just introduced herself perfectly.
